Look What Austin Can Do!

This has been a fun week of Austin milestones! He is laughing and smiling a lot. He has figured out his hands and is grabbing toys. He has also figured out that he likes for everything to go in his mouth including toys, his fingers, and mom and dad's fingers. We are very excited to report that Austin is now sleeping through the night! Woo hoo!! It is so amazing to see him learn something new every day.

Train, Boat, and Automobile

In the past couple of weeks, Austin has been on the train, a boat, and of course, weekly trips to Anchorage Market in the car. He had his first train trip on the Chugach Explorer where we went from Whittier to the Grandview and Spencer glaciers. The rocking train make him sleep for most of the day. He also had his first fishing trip on Prince William Sound. Sadly, all that was caught was Pacific Cod. Thankfully, Austin is a great traveler!

Austin the Rocker

The first time I felt Austin move in my belly was during our Artist in Residence program when our musician was playing guitar. At that point, I knew Austin was destined to become a rocker! Nine weeks old and already sporting the faux hawk...

Dad and Son

Austin is a mini-me of Josh. All he needs is a little red beard to really look like his daddy!

2 months old!

Can you believe that Austin is already two months old? Actually, by the time I actually post this, he is ten weeks old. (Sorry - spending lots of time with the baby and less time on the internet, which is probably a good day!)

He is growing, growing, and growing! He is smiling much more regularly (mostly at this dad), but I haven't been able to really snap a good picture. I have been able to get some pretty goofy expressions to share.

Austin had a fun visit to Homer where he slept through his first trip in a boat on Kachemak Bay. That fresh air and boat motor will really knock a boy out!
